This Privacy Policy explains how Docsey LLC (“Docsey,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Renewable Energy Site Check tool (the “Service”).

1.Information we collect

When you run a search we collect the acreage you enter and the location you provide (coordinates, address, or map point), along with the results generated.

Contact information

If you request an emailed report, we collect your name and email address and record that you agreed to this policy.

Technical information

We automatically collect your IP address, browser type / user agent, and the date and time of your requests, which we use for security, fraud and abuse prevention, and rate limiting.

2.How we use information

  • To generate your site screening results and email your report.
  • To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service, and to prevent spam and abuse.

Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by replying to any email or by writing to the address in Section 11.
  • To analyze aggregate usage of the Service.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the Service.

4.Data retention

We keep search records and report requests for up to 36 months and then delete or de-identify them, unless a longer period is required by law. Generated map reports hosted at sitedata.docsey.com are automatically removed after 120 days.

5.Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6.Your choices and rights
